A lone oak standing among golden autumn vine rows in Sonoma County

Russian River Valley · Forestville, California

The Vineyards

Two neighboring properties on either side of River Road, farmed as one family holding.

Overview

Two properties. One hundred acres across River Road.

River Road Vineyard is established Russian River Valley vineyard ground planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Directly across the road, West Vineyard is the family’s home ground and the place where our own small Chardonnay project began.

Together, the two properties span roughly one hundred acres of vineyard, open ground, creek corridor and Sonoma County landscape.

Russian River Valley

A cool corner of Sonoma County.

Forestville sits in the cool western reaches of the Russian River Valley, where morning fog and coastal influence temper the warmer parts of the day.

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have long been at home here. The slower rhythm of the growing season is part of what made the established River Road vineyard interesting to us in the first place.

Site character

Land, water, and canopy

Vineyard rows are only part of the property. Creek corridor, trees, open land and changing topography give the larger holding its character.
